Select Agent and Price

When selling your home you want to maximize your opportunities in the current real estate market.

A real estate agent will employ the most effective marketing and advertising strategies for your property. They will guide you through the complicated paperwork involved, from the initial agreement to the final documents. Keep  these in mind when looking for a listing agent: Education, experience and expertise, availability and commitment and rapport. Once you've decided on the agent you want to use to list your home, they should perform the following tasks for you:

  • Provide advice on preparing the property for the market

  • Prepare and execute a complete marketing plan skillfully selecting which publications best reach the target market

  • Make sure that the listing is on other websites

  • Instruct office on making appointments and who is to be notified, etc.

  • Have professional photographs taken of the property

  • Prepare a brochure of the property and include a detailed amenities enclosure

  • Place the listing into the MLS system and install a yard sign

  • Prepare and mail Broker’s Open invitations announcing Brokers Open

  • Advertise Broker’s Open

  • Schedule and hold a Broker’s Open for property

  • Make and monitor showing appointments with Selling Agents

  • Follow up on all appointments with Selling Agents and get feedback on property

  • Advertise for general Open House

  • Schedule and hold general Open House(s)

  • Provide timely feedback to Seller on activity and response to property
